On 22nd June 2021, Amanda Camm, Whitsunday Member, Fiona Simpson, Shadow Minister for Integrity & Gorvernment, State Regional Development & Infrastructure and Pat Weir, Shadow Minister for Natural Resources Mining & Energy visited Keswick Island to meet with KIPA members. This meeting was initially planned for March 2021 but was postponed due to Covid restrictions closing down the borders.
The ministers were here to see Keswick Island first-hand and to gather information to apply for a parliamentary enquiry into the mismanagement of Queensland assets in the Whitsundays. The meeting was very positive and we are hopeful for a good outcome.
